📒 Lord Shiva is called Bholenath and Bhola in Hindi means innocent. Scriptures say that Lord Shiva never used to think twice before giving any boon to his devotees. Such is his innocence that whatever one prays for while thinking of Lord Shiva, he would just bless them with it.

There is another aspect to it. Lord Shiva is the symbolism for the Shiva tattva or the divine consciousness of which everything is made. That tattva or life force is always pure, always innocent, and remains forever untouched by whatever happens in the manifest universe. When we are directly connected to that Shiva tattva, we also get back to our true innocent nature and remain untouched by the ups and downs of life.
